With the help of many community members and volunteers, and the support of local businesses we’ve been helping to feed the hungry in Spartanburg for 17 years.

We will be taking a break from Bowl Making and Soup Day events to reimagine Hub City Empty Bowls and the ways in which it can support our community.

Hub City Empty Bowls is a grassroots organization that connects potters, charities, and ordinary citizens to make clay bowls free-of-charge that are then used to raise funds to end food insecurity in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Several public bowl-making sessions are held throughout the community prior to Soup Day. All materials and instructions are provided at no cost. The public provides the hands to make the bowls. Like Hub City Empty Bowls on Facebook to find out when the next session will be.
